Web Design Process
Our thorough design process sets us apart from others. Don't know where to start? That's OK! We'll meet with you and guide you through it.
You know your business more than anyone. We'll kickoff the project by meeting with you. We'll discuss what your needs are and how a website can fullfil those needs. We'll learn about your expectations and we'll determine how a website can help you reach your goals. During the meeting, we'll chart a course and begin the process of mapping out the website.
2. Research / Gather Information
Once we know what needs to be done, we begin the process of "how". And that starts with research. We'll do research to determine the path to create the best site. This includes learning about the online behavior of your customers and potention customers. We'll begin our research for Search Engine Optimization and we'll also research your competitors.
3. Content Creation
At this point the process of creating content begins. This is usually accomplished together with the client. Website content is a key element of a website and we specialize in creating, or helping you create, content that is compelling and helps with search engine optimization (SEO).
During the design phase, we'll begin by chosing colors and we'll begin designing the layout. This is the stage where we determine where all the elements go on the page. We'll also develop a header (if the site requires one). After we've created a design, we'll present it to you for your review. Once we our design is approved, we begin the Build phase.
One the design is complete, we'll begin building the website. We'll build the pages and install any requested features such as calendars, contact forms, member areas, etc. We'll present the site for your review. We'll ask for any feedback and implement changes as necessary.
We pride ourselves on the extent that we test our sites. We test our websites on a variety of browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. We also "validate" our website code. Validating ensures there are no errors on the site and that our coding adheres to the latest design rules and specifications.
After the site has been approved by you and we've fully tested it, we'll deploy it and the site will be live.
When the site is completed and deployed our job isn't done. We realize you will have questions and we're here to help. If your site uses a Content Management System (CMS), we'll meet with you and teach you how to use it.
